Adjustments

The Manage > Adjustments page displays the lists of all the Scoring Adjustments configured for your organization. To view details about a specific adjustment, click on the particular adjustment type. Sometimes, you may want to manually adjust the trust scores assigned by Fortra Cloud Email Protection to a message or its URLs. To do this, select the message in Analyze > Messages, and edit the Scoring Analysis details.

NOTE: You can only manually add adjustments directly from the Adjustments page for Email Address and URL adjustment types . For all other messages, you can add /edit adjustment trust scores manually by selecting the message (Analyze > Messages) and editing the Scoring Analysis details. To add adjustments for Email Address type :

  1. Click Show and select Email Address to display the Scoring Adjustments list for Email Address type only.

  2. Click Add Adjustments.

  3. Enter a Display Name (optional) for the email address.

  4. Select Email Address from the Select URL or Email Address list.

  5. Enter the Email Address.

  6. Select the required options Allow / Allow if the message passes DMARC / Block based on your organization’s need.

  7. Add Notes. This is optional.

  8. Click Submit.

  9. TIP:
    • Email address adjustments will do an exact match with the email address listed in the From header of the selected message.

    • If the Display Name is entered then the Email address adjustments will only match the full From Header of the selected message. Example "Display Name <email address>"

To add adjustments for URL type :

  1. Click Show and select URL to display the scoring adjustments list for URL type only.

  2. Click Add Adjustments.

  3. Select URL from the Select URL or Email Address list.

  4. Enter the exact Domain Name and select Allow or Block to Allow / Block any URL from the selected domain Or enter the exact URL and Select Allow / Block to Allow or Block the exact URL.

  5. TIP: For example, Enter "https://google.com" to Allow / Block this particular URL only from your organization. Enter domain name "www.Google.com" to allow or block any URL from the Google.com domain to your organization.

  6. Select the reason for allowing or blocking the URL / Domain.

  7. Add Notes. This is optional.

  8. Click Submit.

To delete any type of adjustments :

  1. Go to Manage > Adjustments.

  2. Click any adjustment type to view the details.

  3. Click Delete Adjustments.
