Execution History

Description

Displays information about previous executions of the task, including start/end time, result, and description. A default history period can be selected or the user can enter a custom start/end date. For reporting convenience, displayed data can be easily exported to a .csv file.

To access the Execution History of a managed task, from Task Administrator Managed Tasks view, right-click the desired task and select Go to > Execution History.

Provides users a convenient way to view information and status about previous executions of a given task.

Parameters

Property Description
History period The history period in which to display task execution. The available options are:
  • Today - Execution history results are between 12:00 AM and the present time.
  • Yesterday - Execution history results are between 12:00 AM the day before to 12:00 AM present day.
  • Last 24 hours - Execution history results are from 24 hours ago to the present time.
  • Past week - Execution history results are from the same time last week to the present time.
  • Past month - Execution history results are from the same time last month to the present time.
  • Custom - A user defined time period will be selected.
Start date The start date/time in which to display task execution. All executions that occurred between the Start date and End date are displayed. Click the down arrow and select the desired start date/time from the displayed calendar.
End date The end date/time in which to display task execution. All executions that occurred between the Start date and End date are displayed. Click the down arrow and select the desired end date/time from the displayed calendar.
Export Exports the execution history currently displayed onto a .CSV file.
NOTE: You can retrieve specific execution dates/times by holding down Ctrl on your keyboard during selection, then, right-click and click Copy to clipboard (or press Ctrl +C on your keyboard).

Available columns

Property Description
Task Name The name of the task in which execution history is being displayed.
Start Time The date/time the task started.
End Time The date/time the task ended.
Result The execution result (that is, Success, Failure, Aborted).
Description Details about the execution. If the task failed, a description of the error is displayed in this section.
