Enable TLS communication

Clearswift Secure Email Gateway supports TLS communication and enables you to apply Transport Layer Security (TLS) to all your SMTP connections.

You can enable opportunistic TLS globally, as described below. However, you can only enable Mandatory TLS on an SMTP Connection Profile.

1. Click System > Encryption > TLS Configuration.
2. Select the Settings tab.
3. In the Use TLS Communications area, click Click here to change these settings.
4. Choose to enable or disable opportunistic TLS connections.
5. Click Save.
6. Apply the new configuration.
