Service Control page
The Service Control page lists the status of each Secure Email Gateway and enables you to stop or restart those services that are under manual control.

Services are programs that perform low-level functions to support other programs on the system. |
To view the page, from the Home page, select System > Service Control.
The Service Control page lists the following services with its current status:
In the Current Status panel, gray icons such as in the Service column indicate that those services cannot be controlled manually. |

| Anti Spam Service | Manages spam detection by communicating with the Mailshell and Rspamd services. |
| Certificate Store | Manages certificate |
| Encryption and Decryption | Manages the encryption, decryption, and signing of messages, and validation of signatures. |
| Health and Statistics | Gathers information on system health for display on the Health page and other pages of the Secure Email Gateway web interface. |
| LDAP Address Synchronization | Manages the synchronization of LDAP Synchronized Address Lists. |
| Message Area Manager | Manages the Secure Email GatewayHeld Messages. |
| Message Auditor | Manages the Secure Email Gateway auditing system. |
| PMM Infrastructure |
Generates PMM message digests, and handles the digest responses from users. |
| Policy Enforcement |
Manages the enforcement of the Secure Email Gatewaycontent security policy. |
| SMTP Alert Transport | Manages the delivery of SMTP Alerts. |
| SMTP Inbound Transport | Manages the delivery of inbound mail. |
| SMTP Outbound Transport | Manages the delivery of outbound mail. |
| Sophos Virus Scanner |
Manages the Sophos virus scanning process. |
| SQL Database | Manages the SQL database tasks. |
| System Logging | Manages the system logs recorded by Secure Email Gateway. |
| User Interface | Manages the display of the Secure Email Gateway web interface. |
