License Details

You can view the details of your current Secure Email Gateway license from System > Version & License > View License.

 

License updates are normally managed automatically by the Clearswift Update Server.

You should only need to edit your license details manually if you change your license type (for example, from an Evaluation license to a Full license), or under specific instructions from Clearswift.

View or update your license details

  1. Navigate to System > Version & License > View License. The View License page is displayed.

    The Valid License panel indicates whether your license is valid or not. If not valid, a license warning is displayed.

  2. The License Details panel displays the details of your current license, including the license type and current expiry date.

    Edit your license details as required.

    • Click Click here to change these settings.
    • Enter your license details.
    • Click Save.
    • In the task panel, click Validate my license now. Your license is validated by the Clearswift Secure License Server. Assuming your license details are valid, the Valid License panel indicates that your license has been successfully validated.
    • Apply the configuration to fully activate the license.
  3. Edit your call-home setting as required.

    • In the Call-home Settings panel, click Click here to change these settings.
    • Select or clear the When validating a license restrict the validation request data check box. For more information about this option, see License validation request data.
    • Click Save to save the new setting.
