Enable SMTP hostname override

You can specify whether the SMTP command includes a defined hostname when connecting with another mail server (the hostname appears in the HELO/EHLO command). This will enable you to avoid revealing details of your internal mail network when making connections to third parties.

Specify SMTP hostname override

1. Navigate to System > SMTP Settings > Advanced Settings. The Advanced Settings page is displayed.
2. Move the mouse pointer over the Enable SMTP hostname override area and click Click here to change these settings.
3. Edit the required settings:

• Select the Override the default SMTP hostname check box.
• Enter a new fully-qualified Hostname.

5. Click Save.

This setting will not be deployed to peers.
