User Name Lists
A User Name List is a group of user names to whom you want to apply a common policy. User Name Lists could represent common users within your organization. For example:
- Functional groupings, such as a Sales Team or a regional office.
- Role-oriented groupings, such as Managers.
- Relational groupings, such as Company Partners.

Static Lists and LDAP Synchronized Lists
There are two types of list:

Static User Name List
The entries in a Static User Name List are defined and maintained by a local administrator. You can import lists of users and addresses into a Static User Name List from a text file.

LDAP Synchronized User Name List
An LDAP Synchronized List is synchronized with an LDAP server containing your user information. The LDAP User Name List is refreshed automatically by the

Use the Search text box to find User Name Lists. The search button simultaneously applies your search criteria to both the list of User Name Lists, and the entries contained within each User Name List. List searches are not case-sensitive, and you can search for a fragment, or part of a word. A search also returns any wildcarded entries in the list. For example, searching for person@company.com returns *@company.com in your search results. Punycode searches are supported. |
