Manage File Uploads

You can manage File Uploads on a particular Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or YouTube policy route, if required.

A different block page is automatically generated for each type of social media policy route added to the Gateway. For example, if you create a Facebook route, a Facebook block page is also created. You cannot delete these block pages if a related policy route exists on your Gateway.

To enable or disable File Uploads:

  1. Click Policy > Web Policy Routes.
  2. Select a social media policy route.
  3. Click Edit. The Modify Policy Route page is displayed.
  4. Select the File Uploads content rule you require:

    • Facebook File Uploads
    • LinkedIn File Uploads
    • Twitter File Uploads
    • YouTube File Uploads
  5. Click Edit. The Edit File Uploads dialog is displayed.
  6. Select an option:

    • Allow uploads of all file types enables all file uploads on this route.

    • Block uploads of all file types disables all file uploads on this route.

    • Block uploads of selected file types disables a selection of file types on this route.

If you select Block uploads of selected file types, the dialog expands to enable you to select the file types you want to block or allow.
  7. Select Generate an inform to activate an inform message which automatically notifies a contact when an upload is attempted. You can use an inform template and select an email address for the recipient of the inform.
  8. Click Update.
