Create, edit or delete an intranet site

You create intranet sites to define the internal web sites of your company in a policy route.

Intranet site format

Intranet sites can be identified by an IP address or URL and may contain the * and ? wildcards.

For example:

ftp://ftp.compaq.com

ftp://ftp.hp.com

*.clearswift.com

http://*.windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Create an intranet site

  1. From the Policy References area on the Policy Center Home page, click intranet sites. The Manage Intranet Sites page appears, listing any existing intranet sites.
  2. The Overview area enables you to provide a description for the intranet sites. To edit the Overview information:

    • Move the mouse pointer over the Overview area, and click Click here to change these settings.
    • Edit the Description if required. You can insert, change, or delete text in this field.
    • Click Save.
  3. To add sites to the Intranet Sites list:

    • Move the mouse pointer over the Sites area, and click New. The Add Site dialog appears.
    • In the Site Address field, enter the URL or IP address of the site. You can use Closedwildcard characters in the URL or IP address.
    • Wildcard characters

      Use * to represent 0 or more characters.

      Use ? to represent a single character.

    • Click Add.
    • Repeat the process to add the sites you need.
  4. To edit or remove a site in the list, move the mouse pointer over the sites area and select the site to edit, then click Edit or Delete as required.
 
  • When you have finished modifying your content security policy, you must apply the configuration for any changes to take effect.If you use Peer Gateways (i.e. when multiple Gateways are peered), any configuration changes from a local Gateway can then be applied to all the peers at the same time. See Configure Peer Gateways for more information.
  • Edit an intranet site

    You can modify an existing intranet site to change its details.

    1. From the Policy References area on the Policy Center Home page, click Intranet Sites. The Intranet Sites page appears, listing any existing intranet sites.
    2. Select the intranet site to modify and click Edit. The Edit Site dialog appears:
     
  • When you have finished modifying your content security policy, you must apply the configuration for any changes to take effect.If you use Peer Gateways (i.e. when multiple Gateways are peered), any configuration changes from a local Gateway can then be applied to all the peers at the same time. See Configure Peer Gateways for more information.
  • Delete an intranet site

    You can delete an existing intranet site.

    1. From the Policy References area on the Policy Center Home page, click Intranet Sites. The Intranet Sites page appears, listing any existing intranet sites.
    2. Select the intranet site to remove. Delete is displayed.
    3. Click Delete, and at the confirmation dialog, click Yes. The intranet site is removed.
