Restore the configuration
You can restore your Clearswift Gateway to a configuration that was previously applied. You can do this either from the list of previously applied configurations on the Configuration History tab of the Backup & Restore page, or from a configuration that has been backed up to disk.
Clearswift Gateway allows you to restore the system to a configuration that previously failed to deploy. For example, you might want to restore a configuration to resolve problems with it, then attempt to re-apply it. |

How do I...
- From the System Center, click Backup & Restore.

Select the Configuration History tab. The tab displays details of the most recently applied configurations.
If more than 10 configurations have been applied, you can view older configurations by clicking Preceding Configurations at the bottom of the page. - Select the configuration you want to restore.

In the What would you like to do? Task Pane, click Restore the selected Configuration. The Select Configuration Area To Restore dialog is displayed.

Select the configuration areas you want to restore and click Restore.

If the restore was successful, review the content security policy settings in the Policy Center and the system settings in the System Center.
- Click Apply Configuration in the Changes Made panel. Changes will only be applied when you apply the configuration.
- From the System Center, click Backup & Restore.
- In the task panel, click Upload Backed up Configuration. The Select Configuration Area to Restore dialog is displayed.
- Use the Browse button to specify the location of the .bk configuration archive file.

Select the areas of the configuration you want to restore and click Restore.
When the restoration process has completed, the Configuration Restore page indicates the success or failure of the process, and provides a link to the Manage Configurations page. - If the restore was successful, review the content security policy and system settings in the Policy Center and System Center.
- Click Apply Configuration in the Changes Made panel. Changes will only be applied when you apply the configuration.
Only one administrator can apply a configuration at any one time. Simultaneous attempts to apply configurations will fail. Configuration backup and restore applies only to your system configuration. Held messages, message tracking and reporting data, and |
