Edit a report

Report Center provides a set of standard system reports.

You cannot modify or delete a system report , but you can use them as templates for creating your own customized versions. You can copy and modify any existing report.

Your customized reports are included in the selection of available reports and can be modified.

You can also schedule a customized report to be generated and sent to an email address at regular intervals.

• From the Reports page, select a customized report. Click Edit. The Modify Custom Report page is displayed.

• The Modify Custom Report page

  The Modify Custom Report page is displayed when you Edit a customized report. It features the following sections:

  • Overview enables you to view and modify the report name and description.
  • What to filter on? displays which criteria the report uses to present the data.
  • Schedule displays the current settings for scheduling the report, including the automation and frequency of the scheduled report.
  • Who to send to? displays the recipients and owner of the report, if scheduled, and enables you to modify the recipient list.

• System reports and customized reports

  System reports are provided by default and cannot be modified, deleted or scheduled. If you want to create a new report, you should copy a system report and customize the copy. Customized reports appear in the list of available reports and can be modified, removed, scheduled and copied.

How do I...

• Change the report name and description?

  1. In the Overview section, click Click here to change these settings.

  2. Edit the Name and Notes as required.

     The report Name will be displayed in the list of available reports. The Notes will be displayed in the Report Details area when this report is selected from the list.

  3. Click Save.

• Modify the report parameters?

  You can modify the criteria the Gateway uses to generate the report.

  For example, you might want to modify a report so that it displays data with a date range of This Month instead of Today. Alternatively you might want to change which Peers you collect data from, or whether you want to display the Top N results.

  1. In the What To Filter On? section, click Click here to change these settings.

     Various tabs are displayed (including a Summary tab) which enable you to configure the report parameters.

  2. Select the tab you require.
  3. Use the tabs to specify the criteria you want the report to use. The Summary tab displays an overview of criteria selected.
  4. Click Save.

  In a group of Peer Gateways, all the parameters for Peers in the group are displayed.

• Redefine the Date Ranges?

  You can define the start and end day of the week using the Tracking And Report Settings page. On the page, click the Date Range Settings panel. See Tracking and Report Settings for more information.

• Change the recipients of a scheduled report?

  1. In the Who To Send To? section, click Click here to change these settings.

  2. Select either

     • Send to report owner
     • Send to recipient list :

  3. If you want to send the report to a recipient list, select the Send to recipient list check box and enter the email addresses of your recipients, separated by a semi-colon. For example,

     user1@company.org; user2@company.org; manager@company.org

  4. Click Save.
