Reboot and Shutdown

You can power off or reboot your Secure Exchange Gateway from the System menu.

 

You need to be logged on using the default administrator account to use this function.

If you are unable to access the product's Web Interface, you can reboot or power off from Red Hat Cockpit.

Reboot Secure Exchange Gateway

  1. Navigate to System > Monitoring & Control > Service Control. The Service Control page is displayed. This page indicates the status of the Gateway services.
  2. In the task panel, click Reboot the Gateway.
  3. In the Confirm Reboot dialog, click Reboot.

You will lose connection to Secure Exchange Gateway when it reboots. Wait a minute or two before attempting to log in again.

Shutdown Secure Exchange Gateway

  If you power off your Secure Exchange Gateway, you will need physical access to the Gateway to restart it.
  1. Navigate to System > Monitoring & Control > Service Control. The Service Control page is displayed. This page indicates the status of the Gateway services.
  2. Click Shutdown the Gateway on the task panel.
  3. In the task panel, click Shutdown the Gateway.
  4. In the Confirm Shutdown dialog, click Shutdown.

You will lose connection to Secure Exchange Gateway when it shuts down.

  To power on the Gateway that is currently switched off, press the power switch on the front of the Secure Exchange Gateway system. For the location of the Gateway switches and sockets, consult the documentation included in the Secure Exchange Gateway packaging.
