Advanced Alarm Settings

You can configure an alarm even further, for example, to display an event in case of the alarm’s absence. Here, you define the conditions in which your alarm will call its action(s).

To create advanced alarm settings

  1. Select an alarm on the Alarms tree; it remains highlighted. Click the Advanced tab in the alarm’s panel that appears.
  2. Select an option:
  • An event passes this filter: If you select this (default) option, the alarm’s filter will not interfere with the alarm’s action(s). The alarm’s action(s) will take place every time an event triggers this alarm.
  • No event passes this filter in the specified calendar: If you select this option, the alarm’s action will take place only if no alarm triggering event occurs during the calendar-defined time. The action will take place despite there not having been an alarm.
    • The Calendar Name drop-down list box appears below the option.
    • Select a calendar from the drop-down list box.
  • No event passes this filter during a period of time after activation of this alarm: If you select this option, the alarm’s action will take place only if the alarm isn't triggered again from the time it is first triggered until the end of the period of time you define. The alarm’s action(s) will take place only if the alarm isn't triggered again within said time. A panel with two options appears. Enter a number in the Period of minutes field. Select an option:
    • Stop checking...: If you select this option, this advanced setting will only last until the alarm’s filter detects a triggering event, or until the end of the time period you specify. In this case, the action will be executed when an event triggers the alarm or the time interval you specify is complete.
    • Start again...: If you select this option, this advanced setting will remain indefinitely. Even though an alarm may be triggered or the time period you define may end, its action will not be performed.
