A named style is a collection of font and paragraph attributes that you can apply at once. CuteSITE Builder includes a number of common named styles with each Web design. You can modify these named styles and also create your own named styles.

You modify or create a named style either by first formatting some model for the named style, or by defining the characteristics of the named style in the Styles dialog box.

 

Modify or create an existing named style using model text

  1. Select the model text.

  2. Right-click the selected text and choose Format > Style. The Styles dialog box appears.

  3. To modify the existing named style, click the Modify button and choose As Selection or,

  1. If you are creating a new named style, type a name for the named style in the text box and click OK.

  2. Click Close.

 

Modify or create a named style without model text

  1. Right-click the page area and choose Format > Style. The Styles dialog box appears.

  2. If you are modifying an existing style, choose the Style from the list under Styles or,

  1. Click Modify. A menu appears with commands that let you specify the characteristics of the text.

  2. To define the named style, choose one or more of the following:

  1. After you work in each dialog box and click OK, CuteSITE Builder returns to the Styles dialog box.

  2. (Optional) If you want all text in the current paragraphs to appear in the style you have defined, click Apply Style. By default, CuteSITE Builder maintains local formatting when applying a named style. If you want to remove local formatting, so that CuteSITE Builder changes all text in the selected paragraphs to the named style, select the Remove local formatting when applying style option.

  3. Click Close.

 

Delete a named style

  1. Right-click in the page area and choose Format > Style. The Styles dialog box appears.

  2. Select the style to delete from the Styles list.

  3. Click Delete. When you delete a style, any paragraphs currently assigned that style switch to the default style.
