Change the priority order of elements in the map
Priority order determines which map elements take precedence when two or more elements overlap. Most map elements have a fixed order; you can, however, change the priority order for shapes and images.
Right-click the shape or image and choose Priority.
Choose one of the following commands to change the position of the shape or image relative to the other shapes or images that overlap it:
Bring to front
Send to back
Bring forward one
Send backward one
Notes
You can also choose Map > Priority while the map is active to change priority order.
The priority order of map elements runs as follows, from front to back:
pages, sequences, and tour sequences lines
labels
shapes and images
This means that labels always appear on top of shapes and images, and that pages, sequences, and tour sequences always appear on top of any other map elements.
