Once you embed an object in a CuteSITE Builder page, a portion of it remains visible. Some objects (depending on the support their applications provide) let you adjust the extent of this visible portion. For example, a spreadsheet object initially appears after insertion with a certain number of cells showing. The specific behavior of Microsoft Excel is that it lets you change the extent (the part of the spreadsheet that is showing), but it always rounds to the nearest cell boundary along both dimensions.

Each type of object behaves differently. The exact appearance of an object depends on what kind of support is available from the object's application.

  1. Right-click the object and choose Properties > Object.

  2. Click the Extent tab.

  3. Specify the number of pixels by which you want to change the object's visible extent, either horizontally or vertically.  If you prefer to adjust extent as a percentage of its original size, change the units from Pixels to Percent.

  4. (Optional) You can click Apply to see the effect your changes will have without closing the dialog box. You can then continue to adjust the object's extent, or click OK.

Experiment with each type of object to determine your capabilities. Applications that do not support extent adjustments will ignore these settings. Other applications may override them.

If you have changed extent settings and not yet clicked on Apply, you can reset to the previous settings by clicking Reset.
