Merge cells

You can combine two or more cells into a one single larger cell, which spans the full extent of its former components. CuteSITE Builder arranges the content of all the merged cells in the new larger cell.

Merge multiple cells into one larger cell

1. Select two or more cells to be merged.

2. Right-click and choose Merge Cells. CuteSITE Builder arranges the content of all the component cells in the new larger cell, dividing it in paragraphs.

3. (Optional) Manually join the contents of the separate paragraphs.

Unmerge previously merged cells

1. Click in a cell that was formerly merged.

OR

Select any number of cells, of which some were previously created by merging smaller cells into larger ones.

2. Right-click and choose Unmerge Cells.

CuteSITE Builder puts cell boundaries back to their state before the merge. All content from the formerly merged cells will be placed in the (newly un-merged) top left cell. All cell properties, such as color, that were applied to the merged cells will remain applied to the un-merged cells.

Notes

n   You can also choose Table > Merge Cells and Table > Unmerge Cells to perform these actions.

n   When you select Unmerge Cells, CuteSITE Builder restores the maximum number of cell boundaries within the area you have selected, and makes all the resulting cells independent. Newly un-merged cells inherit all the cell properties of the former merged cell. Content (including manually joined paragraphs, if any) from the merged cell will be placed in the upper left cell of the un-merged group.

n   To reverse a prior merge on a single merged cell, it is not necessary to first select the cell; simply right-click.
