Create links in the outline
You can create basic links, field links, or lists of links to a sequence through the list of page titles in the outline. To display the outline, choose View >Outline >Show.
Create a basic link
1. In the page area, select the text or picture that you want to use as a link (that is, the text or picture a visitor will click to go to another page).
You can select text or pictures in the page body or a border.
2. In the outline, right-click the page to link to, then choose Link to this Page.
Create a field link
1. In the page area, click to place the cursor where you want the link to appear.
2. In the outline, right-click the page to link to.
3. Choose Link to this Page Using, then select one of the following:
Title Field: Shows the page’s title as the link.
Title & Summary Fields: Shows the page’s title as the link, and shows the page’s summary.
Short Title Fields: Shows the page’s short title as the link.
Short Title & Summary Fields: Shows the page’s short title as the link, and shows the page’s summary.
Other Fields: Displays a dialog box that lets you select a custom field to use as the link.
Create a list of links to pages in a sequence
1. In the page area, right-click where you want to insert the list of pages.
2. Choose Create List from > Another Sequence. The List Contents and Format dialog box opens.
3. Select the field links to use in the list and select a format for the list.
4. In the outline, click the sequence to which you want to create the links. The pointer changes to the link shape when you move over the outline area.
