Create an up level link
Create an up level link for a page not in a sequence
1 In the map, right-click the page and then choose Choose Up Level. The mouse pointer turns into the link shape.
2 Click the page to which you want to create the up level link. In the map, CuteSITE Builder draws a line between the two pages. If the pages include navigation buttons, the down and up navigation links (respectively) become active.
Create an up level link for all pages in a sequence
1 In the map, right-click the sequence line and choose Choose Up Level. The mouse pointer turns into the link shape.
2 Click the page to which you want to create the up level link. In the map, CuteSITE Builder draws a line from the left edge of the sequence line to the page. If a page includes navigation buttons, the the down navigation link becomes active on the upper page, and the up navigation links become active on all pages in the sequence.
Notes
n If up and down navigation buttons appear in a border that is currently hidden, you may not be able to see them. You should adjust border properties so that when the page participates in an up level link, the border with the navigation links displays. Most CuteSITE Builder designs have this setting checked by default.
n For a sequence, if there are pages on the sequence line, the easiest place to click the line is near the handle on the right edge.
n You cannot create an up level link to a sequence, but only to a single page.
n The up level link line remains connected to the page or sequence and the up page when you move the pages or sequence in the map. You can move the page or sequence at either end of the link line to adjust the length and angle of the line.
n To change the target of an up level link from a sequence, click the left end of the sequence until you see the linking cursor. Then click and drag to the new target.
n To break an up level link, right-click the subordinate page (the page on which the up level link is active) and choose Unlink up level.
n When you publish your site to the Web, subordinate sequences (connected by up level links to a first-level sequence) will be included up to twelve levels. Sequences below the twelfth level remain in the Web site file, but are not exported to the Web.
