Change the design of a Web site file
A CuteSITE Builder design is a collection of page layouts and named styles that share a consistent look. You must choose a design whenever you create a new Web site file. You can, however, change the Web design after you start creating pages and adding content.
1. Click the page area to make it active.
2. Choose Format > Change Web Design.
3. Select a Web design from the list.
Notes
When you change the design of a Web site file, CuteSITE Builder preserves any content you have added to existing pages, and also any local changes you have made to the page body or borders on individual pages; for example, if you have manually displayed a border or added a background picture. Note that the display of this local formatting may create inconsistencies with the look of new pages you create in the new design.
You should additionally note that the page layout definitions in the new Web design take precedence over the definitions in the previous design. This means that if the page layout in the new design does display a border that corresponds to a border you have manually added, the border may be either smaller or larger, and the text and pictures may not be laid out in the same way as in the previous design.
When you change designs, any text in the page area's default style (for example, (Left Border text)) is reformatted to the default style for that area in the page layout of the new design.
If, when you change designs, the new and previous designs have corresponding named styles, the new design’s formatting definition for the named style is applied to all text in each named style.
