You can type or copy and paste a URL directly into CuteFTP Pro. This allows you to connect to a site, or if specified, download a file.
From any Windows application, highlight the URL. The URL may be general (ftp://ftp.globalscape.com) or specific (ftp://ftp.globalscape.com/pub/cuteftp/archive/english/cute4232.exe).
Copy the URL to the clipboard.
Return to CuteFTP Pro and select File > Connection > Connect to URL from the Menu Bar.
CuteFTP Pro will parse the URL and connect to the site or start downloading the file (if specified).
