You may encounter some servers that treat PASV mode and links differently. You can choose from the following options to help when connecting with these servers.
On the menu bar, go to Tools > Global Options.
Expand Navigation.
Click Tolerance.
Force correct timing of PASV mode command
Select this check box to work with most FTP servers. Most FTP servers support the correct internal timing of the PASV command. See RFC compliant PASV mode example.
Clear this check box to connect with a server when having difficulty connecting in PASV mode. This setting especially helps with WarFTP servers. See RFC compliant PASV mode example.
Treat Windows shortcuts (.lnk) as files
Select this check box to treat .lnk files as files. This improves navigation with WarFTP servers.
Clear this check box to treat .lnk files as folders
Treat 5xx errors as 4xx errors during login
Select this check box to continue attempting logins even if the server returns permanent errors (5xx) when the server is full.
Clear this check box to always accept permanent errors as such, and to stop automatically retrying connection attempts.
Do not use the LIST command for obtaining file info prior to transfer (you will be prompted to overwrite for matching file names)
Select this check box to stop CuteFTP Pro from sending the LIST command to servers right before transfers. Some servers will break a connection when they receive a LIST command just before a transfer and the transfer will fail.
