eBay instructions

Below is a quick-start guide to putting pictures on eBay. If you need more detail, we have a full, in-depth guide that can be downloaded directly from our manuals section.

  1. Save your image as a .JPG. (Before uploading images using CuteFTP, your image must already be saved as a JPG. If you do not know how to do this, please consult the help files of your graphics software.)

  2. Connect to the Internet as you normally would. Since virtually all Internet Service Providers (ISPs) differ in connection routines, consult their technical support if you have problems getting your computer on the Internet.

  3. Start your CuteFTP program.

  4. Add your site to the Site Manager. If you do not know how to do this, from the Menu Bar, click File > Connection Wizard and follow the step-by-step instructions. If your site already exists in Site Manager, skip this step.

  5. Connect to your site.

  6. Within Site Manager, click your site and then click the Connect button. After connecting, CuteFTP will display a message from the server administrator informing you of rules and regulations of the server.

  7. Click the OK button at the bottom of that screen to clear the message. The main CuteFTP screen has two prominent panes, the left side and the right side. The left side is your computer, and the right side is the FTP server you just connected to.

  8. Transfer your image to your dedicated space on your ISP's Web server using one of the following methods:

  1. Now, all you have to do is insert the URL of this uploaded file into your posting on eBay. If you do not know what the URL to your uploaded picture is, please contact your ISP and ask them.
