ConnectionEnable time out (sec)Setting a timeout value of n will cause the server to disconnect a user after n seconds of user inactivity. Note: Many popular FTP clients have “keep-alive” functionality that will attempt to issue "do-nothing commands" such as NOOP in order to simulate user activity and prevent a time-out.
If “Block anti-timeout schemes” is enabled for the server, such do-nothing commands will be ignored and not reset the counter for this time-out limit. Note: See Block anti-timeout schemes for more information. Max transfer speed (KB/s)This setting affects the cumulative transfer speed, for all of the user's transfers. Use this option if you have very limited bandwidth and wish to service as many users as possible. Note: Site level settings on the Advanced tab may also affect maximum transfer speeds. Max connections per userThis setting specifies the maximum number of simultaneous connections that a user may establish. Note: Site level settings on the Advanced tab may also affect the maximum connections allowed per user. Max connections from the same IPThis limits the maximum number of connections that this user may have per IP. This option is useful for anonymous or other public accounts. Note: Site level settings on the Advanced tab may also affect the maximum connections allowed from the same IP.
Disk QuotaWhen you set a disk quota, users are limited to a specified amount of disk space in their home folders. Since your server has a limited amount of disk space, limiting users to a specific disk quota ensures that they will monitor their home folder contents carefully. Enable disk quota for user's home folderThis setting allows you to enable or disable disk quota for a user's home folder. Max disk spaceThis sets the maximum amount of disk space that users can consume by uploading files. Note: If the disk quota is exceeded while a user is uploading, a partial file will be left on the server. Before resuming the upload, the user must first delete other files to increase the Max disk space allowance. Used disk space (user level only)This shows how much disk space a user has currently occupied. You cannot adjust Used disk space from the administrator interface. Your or a User can delete or upload files in order to change their Used disk space. |
