Edit Window

The edit window is your work space. It displays the HTML tags, the codes, and the text which represent the contents of your document. When you work with dialog boxes, the codes generated by the commands are automatically inserted in the edit window at the point of insertion.

Each tab appears on the top of the edit window, below the special characters bar, and is identified by the document name. The highlighted tab corresponds to the document being edited.

The documents are arranged in the order in which they were opened. However, you can move them easily. Click on the tab you want to move and, while keeping the left mouse button pressed, move it to the desired location.

Special characters bar:

Located above the edit window, the special characters bar allows you to insert special characters and symbols quickly by simply clicking on the desired character or symbol. You can hide the special characters bar using the View menu.

The Vertical toolbar:

A tools mini bar has several options that makes editing your document easy: it contains tools to display or hide line numbering or bookmarks on the margin, a highlighting tool, or a code completion tool

Sheet margin:

Located to the left of the edit window, the sheet margin displays the line numbering, the bookmarks and the page breaks.

Status bar:

Located on the bottom of the edit window, the status bar indicates your position on the edit window and the current working mode.
