Displaying and Configuring Toolbars

CuteHTML Pro has a Menu Bar and four Toolbars which allow quick access to the program's features.

 

Standard Menu Bar

 

The menu bar displays CuteHTML Pro's commands.

Standard toolbar

 

The Standard toolbar displays the file management icons.

Edition Toolbar

The Edition toolbar displays the document edit icons.

Project Toolbar

The Project toolbar displays the project management icons.

Desktop Toolbar

The DeskTop toolbar displays the CuteHTML Pro desktop customizing icons.

Vertical toolbar

The Vertical toolbar has several tools to facilitate the editing task. You can display or hide line numbers, bookmarks shown on margins and the code completion tool.

Tabs Toolbars

Bar with tabs placed at the top of the edit window by default. The tabs bar provides access to all the Web page editing commands.

"Intelligent " menus

CuteHTML Pro's menu bar provides access to the program's commands. Each menu can be updated in the user’s preferences, these are called "Intelligent " menus.

In certain menus, CuteHTML Pro only displays the most frequently used commands. When a "»" symbol appears at the bottom of the list, it means that there are other commands available in the menu.

To add a command to the menu:

  1. Click on the menu which has the "»" symbol at the bottom of the list.

  2. Slide the mouse over the "»" symbol.
    The name of a command which appears in a raised area indicates that this command belong to the menu by default.
    The name of a command which appears in a depressed area indicates that this command does not belong to the menu by default.

  3. From the complete menu, click on the name of the command you want to add to the menu.
    The command is executed. From this moment on, this command will appear on the menu when CuteHTML Pro considers that you need it.

Restore menus and tools to default settings:

  1. Click on arrow located on the extreme right of the menu bar.

  2. Click on the Add or Remove Buttons to display the list.

  3. Click on the Reset Toolbar option.

You can also use the Reset Toolbar command from the View | Toolbars menu to restore all toolbars.

To display or to hide a toolbar:

  1. From the View menu, click on the Toolbar option to display the list of available toolbars.

  2. Click on the toolbar you want to hide or display.

A check mark indicates that the toolbar in question is displayed.

To move a toolbar:

Each toolbar has a handle on its extreme left.

  1. With the left mouse button, click on the handle of the toolbar you want to move.

  2. Holding the left mouse button depressed, drag the toolbar to the desired location.

This procedure changes the toolbar from a fixed toolbar to a floating toolbar and vice versa. To return it to its original position, double click on the toolbar's title bar.

To add or delete buttons on a toolbar currently displayed:

  1. Click on the arrow on the extreme right of the toolbar you want to configure in order to display the drop-down list.

  2. Click on Add or Remove Buttons option in order to display the list.
    The list of available buttons for the selected toolbar is displayed. A check mark indicates that the button is currently displayed.

  3. To display a button, click on the corresponding command in order to display a check mark next to it.

  4. To hide a button, click on the command with a check mark in order to make it disappear.

To reset a toolbar:

Resetting a toolbar returns it to its original condition.

  1. Click on the arrow on the extreme right of the toolbar you want to configure in order to display the drop-down list.

  2. Click on Add or Remove Buttons option in order to display the list.

  3. Click on the Reset Toolbar option.
