Delete cells

You can delete one or several cells in a table.

  1. In the Table window, select the cells you want to delete.

  2. From the Table menu, select the Delete cells option.

The new cell can be placed to the left or top of the selected cell.

Shift cells right

This option is used to shift other cells in a row, leaving an empty cell at the end.

Shift cells to the bottom

This option is used to shift the other cells in the column to the top, leaving an empty cell at the bottom of the column.

Delete whole rows

This option is used to delete all the cells in a row.

Delete whole columns

This option is used to delete all the cells in a column.

It is strongly suggested that a thorough verification of the document is done before making any changes.
