About LZX compression

What is LZX?

LZX is an advanced compression algorithm for the generation of cabinet (CAB) files. It is capable of producing archives much smaller than their ZIP, ARJ and LHA counterparts. CuteZIP provides LZX compression algorithms to assure that archives are compressed as efficiently as possible.

What is a Cabinet File?

Cabinet files are compressed packages containing a number of related files. The format of a cabinet file is optimized for maximum compression. Cabinet files support a number of compression formats, including MSZIP, LZX, or uncompressed.
