Compression Actions
Description: Compression is the reduction in size of data to save space or transmission time. Compression is particularly useful in communications because it enables devices to transmit or store the same amount of data in fewer bits. The Compression action can be used to automatically compress and/or decompress data in a specific directory. The action supports all major compression types, including ZIP, JAR, GZIP, TAR and 7ZIP (among others). Other features include the ability to password protect encrypted data and change the level at which files are to be compressed. As with other compression applications, the Compression action uses a formula or algorithm to determine how to compress or decompress data.
