Firewall password-based authentication is not supported. The type of connection supported is called: USER with no login or user@host port.
To connect using a proxy server
Open the Site Manger (File > Site Manager).
Click the site to be edited in the left pane, then click Edit.
In the Site Properties dialog, select the User Proxy (firewall) server check box.
Provide the Host address for the Proxy.
CuteFTP Mac will then attempt the connection using the following format:
USER ftp_user@ftp_address
