CuteFTP Mac's Quick Connect bar is an address bar much like a browser's address bar. In the Quick Connect bar, you can type the address, user name and password for an FTP site, then click the connect icon. Connection information is saved in a drop-down list for subsequent connections.
To display or hide the Quick Connect bar
On the main menu, click File > Quick Connect.
To connect and log in to a site using the Quick Connect bar
In Quick Connect bar, select or type the Host address. This is the address of your FTP server, e.g., ftp.cuteftp.com. If you do not know the address, contact the administrator of the site or your Internet Service Provider. Do not type "ftp://" or "http://" before the server address.
If this is your first time connecting to this host:
In the User box, provide your username. Your user name is provided by your Service Provider and may be case sensitive.
In the Password box, provide your password. The password is provided by your Service Provider and is case sensitive.
In the Port box, provide the port, if you need to connect to a port other than 21.
Press Enter or click the connect icon. You are connected to the site.
The connection information is saved. For subsequent connections, click the down arrow next to the Host box, click the host address, then click the connect icon.
