You must be connected to the Internet to activate and register your serial number. If Internet access is not available, the activation/registration process will fail.
To activate CuteFTP
Open CuteFTP Mac. The Welcome dialog box appears.
Do one of the following:
Click Enter Serial Number.
On the main menu, click Help > Enter Serial Number.
The Enter Serial Number dialog box appears.
Type or paste your serial number in the Enter Serial Number dialog box. (Avoid errors by copying your serial number from your electronic invoice, then pasting it in the Serial Number box.)
Provide your name in the Name box. The rest of the boxes are optional, but the information will assist GlobalSCAPE Technical Support if you need help resolving problems.
Click Register Online. In a few moments you will see a message congratulating you for registering CuteFTP Mac.
Activation (registration) serial numbers are validated over the Internet by the GlobalSCAPE registration and activation server (dbregistration.globalscape.com via port 80). After a serial number is validated, the software assigns a unique number to your computer based on system information. That number and your registration information are then transmitted to our server for processing.
If you encounter difficulties with activation, please contact the Customer Service team at the following Web address:
