Specifying a Color for Aliases

In Mac OS X, an alias is a "shortcut" that allows you to open files, folders, servers, or applications that you use often. To open an alias, you just double-click it. This can save you time and multiple clicks. An alias icon has an arrow in the bottom left corner. In CuteFTP Mac Pro, you can specify a color for aliases to identify them in a list.

To specify a color for aliases

  1. Click CuteFTP Mac > Preferences.

  2. Click Font & Color. The Fonts and Colors page appears.

  3. To specify a color for aliases other than the default, next to Aliases color, click the color box. The Colors dialog box appears.

  4. Click the desired color. Five different color selection tools are available: Color Wheel, Color Sliders, Color Palettes, Image Palettes, or Crayons.

  5. Close the Colors dialog box, then click OK to save your changes.
