Creating and Using Virtual Folders

Virtual Folders represent folders on your remote FTP server. With this option you can easily upload files and folders by dragging them onto the Virtual Folder icon. You don't have to run CuteFTP Mac to upload some files to your virtual folder—just drag and drop files onto the virtual folder icon, and CuteFTP Mac will start the transfer You can also double click the virtual folder to view its contents in the CuteFTP Mac browser.

To create and use virtual folders

  1.    Connect to the FTP server and open the folder you want to save as a virtual folder.

  2.    CTRL+CLICK the remote browser (it does not matter which file you click).

  3.    In the popup menu, click Create Virtual Folder.

  4.    Specify the destination of the virtual folder on your computer.

  5.    Provide a name for the virtual folder.

  6.    Click Save. The virtual folder icon will appear in the desired location.
