New/Edit *NIX Servers
How to get there
- In the Navigation Pane, under Deployment Manager, click *NIX Servers. If the menu is hidden, hover over the Navigation Pane to expand it.
- From the *NIX Servers screen, click Add to add a new server, or, click an existing server to edit it.
What it does
Use the New/Edit *NIX Servers screen to add a new *NIX server or edit an existing one.
Options
Alias
Indicates the name the server will be referred to within Insite.
Address
Indicates the fully qualified domain name of the server.
Port
Indicates the port used to connect to the server.
Authentication Type
Indicates the way the server can be authenticated. You have the following options:
- Username and Password. Enter the username and password that will be used for installing products on this system.NOTE: The user must be able to connect with SSH. If the user is root, the system must "PermitRootLogin" for SSH with a password or "PermitRootLogin" for SSH with an ssh key. If the user is not root, it must be able to elevate to root authority with sudo
- SSH Private Key. Select Choose file... to find your SSH private key file. Enter the password and confirm password if your SSH key requires one.
- No Authentication. Indicates authentication has not been set. Note that you can use Set Authentication to apply authentication details to multiple servers.
Server Information
This section will only appear when editing an existing server. The fields provide additional information regarding the server.
Operating System Type
Indicates the operating system type on the server.
Operating System Version
Indicates the version of the operating system.
Installed Products Last Updated
Indicates the date and time that the list of Installed Products was last updated/refreshed.
Installed Products
Indicates the Fortra products installed on the server.
