New Features and Enhancements

  • Clipboard refresh is specifically designed to allow Digital Guardian to intercept and disrupt paste events when using Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) in Microsoft Word desktop. While this capability is necessary when using MIP, it may encounter interoperability issues with other applications working with the clipboard.

    To provide greater flexibility, this release introduces a new configuration option enableClipboardRefresh. By default, clipboard refresh is enabled, so no action is required unless you wish to disable it. To disable clipboard refresh, add the following to your configuration:

    <enableClipboardRefresh>0</enableClipboardRefresh>

    IMPORTANT: If you are using MIP in Microsoft Word desktop, do not disable this feature. If you believe disabling it is necessary, please contact the Fortra Support team for guidance.

Agent for MacOS

  • In this release, Agent for macOS 9.2 has been certified to run on Apple macOS 26 (Tahoe).

    NOTE: This release certifies support for the Agent running on macOS 26. It does not include support for any new data egress paths or new OS features introduced in macOS 26.

  • This release introduces the capability to skip IP-Based Domains in Transparent Proxy using the SK flag in the Domain Flag file. This feature identifies traffic linked to IP patterns marked with SK flag and skips them from forwarding to DGWIP. Only traffic associated with the SK flag is skipped, while all other flags continue to be processed at the WIP layer as in previous versions.

    NOTE: These changes will have no impact on the functionality of domain flags, and they will keep working the same way as before.

  • In this release, a new custom configuration, wipTPMonitorSystemProxySettings, is added that lets you enable or disable Proxy Monitoring when Transparent Proxy is enabled. When transparent proxy is enabled and this setting is set to 0, DG Agent stops monitoring changes to HTTP(S) proxies in the System Settings. By default, this custom configuration is enabled.

  • The Digital Guardian Mac Agent 9.2 release introduces support for the SendMail event using the ItemSend approach in the DG Microsoft New Outlook Add-in. The ItemSend feature improves the accuracy of tracking email send actions and ensures that prompts are displayed effectively before an email is sent.

    As part of this update, a new configuration parameter, outlookAddinEnable, has been introduced to control SendMail event handling:

    • When set to True, the system will process the `SendMail` event and generate a DGMC LFR event based on predefined rules.

    • When set to False, the `SendMail` event will not be processed, and no DGMC LFR event will be generated.

  • A new report has been added that outputs the key policy and security setup for Powertech Encryption for IBM i. The Print Configuration Report (PRTCONFIG) can be run with options *ALL, *KEYPCY, *KEYOFR, or *ALERT.

  • The ability to remove unused field encryption registry entries has been added to the product, by using the new Clean Field Registry (CLNFLDREG) command. This command takes in parameters to determine how the entries will be cleaned and has an action option to either inspect the entry, which outputs the findings in the job log, or clean the entry (or entries), which makes updates to the registry.

Fixes

  • The Change Field Encryption (CHGFLDENC) command has been enhanced to import all existing values, display the total number of changes made, or indicate if no changes were made.

  • Resolved an issue where a profile with security officer authority, who was not on the authorization list for full value, was able to run the translate field encryption command, which would then fail and not report the expected error messages correctly.

  • An issue retrieving short external key IDs through a KMIP external key manager has been resolved.

  • An issue that created duplicate entries in the Print Field Proc Audit (PRTFLDAUDC) report, when the command was run multiple times in sequence, has been corrected.

NOTE: If you are using DDM, after updating Robot HA from 13.08 or before to the latest version on both systems, you must run RHACHGDDM to reconfigure DDM. This is needed due to the switch to use RBTADMIN instead of QSECOFR.
New Features

  • The number of omits for IFS has increased from 20 items to 150 items per synchronization attribute.

  • It is now possible to specify omits with a generic pattern in the form of paths starting with a character string (for example, omit files starting with 'tmp'), enabling Robot HA to support more complex IFS directory rules for larger and complex application environments.

  • Simplified IFS replication with the ability to include specific files or directories, enabling greater flexibility in configuring IFS replication in environments where it is desirable to replicate specific IFS objects without replicating the entire directory. This includes the ability to specify a generic include for files and directories starting with a given set of characters.

Enhancements

  • Simplified ability to set up replication for SSO.

  • Improved Library and Group apply job performance and recovery when deleting records. RSF3143 no longer repeats QSYSOPR.

  • *VLDONLY value can now be set for the lowest authentication method (PWDRQD) parameter on CHGDDMTCPA.

  • Added additional sync attribute edits for Local and Remote journaling values to ensure proper syncing.

  • Robot HA no longer clears a target IFS directory during the first-time synchronization action.

  • The default for the REFRESH parameter has been changed from *NO to *YES for CHKATTRSF, CHKDIRRSF, CHKRPRSF, CHKLIBRSF, and CHKSYSRSF commands.

  • Improved support for journal caching. Previously, when journal caching was used, an option 6 (status) on a synchronization attribute could intermittently fail with CPF7073.

  • Robot HA now supports *NOMAX for the maximum number of triggers and constraints eliminating CPA5305 error.

  • Changed ROBOTHA user profile to have an initial menu of *SIGNOFF and limit capabilities set to *YES.

  • Robot HA now automatically calls RSLSHUTDOWN to end Robot products as part of a role swap.

  • Changed user defaults for submit to batch to *YES for all users.

Fixes

  • Robot HA now handles restoring of user queues that already exist. Previously, Robot HA encountered CPD3C32 when the user queue already existed.

  • Added support for adding IFS sync attributes that are multiple levels deep when the parent directories do not exist. If the same directory is used on the source and target authorities are synchronized, if different directories are used (redirection), then authorities on the directories are not synchronized, and RSF7519 is sent to indicate this.

  • Improved IFS sync error message RSF7180 to include additional information.

  • Improved save performance and reduced locking for newly created synchronization attributes. New synchronization attributes now use a default value of *NOCMTBDY for the SAVACT record change wait option on both library and group attributes. Existing attributes are not changed.

  • Fixed issue where synchronization attribute did not get rescheduled to the job queue after it encountered an error while trying to refresh a file that no longer existed.

  • In instances where a file is restored but triggers cannot be disabled, the product no longer considers the file properly restored until the triggers are disabled successfully. This prevents trigger programs that should not be called on the target from being called.

  • Improved handling of deleted IFS files. Previously, if an IFS file was deleted on the source that did not exist on the target, the journal apply job logged an error and a SYNCERROR report was generated. This scenario is now handled without causing an error.

  • Improved IFS SYNCERROR reports to show within the apply job's spooled files.

  • Resolved an issue that caused a role swap to fail with CPF8C87 during APYCFGRSF processing.

  • Improved performance by preventing the ability to cancel a refresh of an IFS file by responding with a C to an inquiry message in QSYSOPR.

  • Improved consistency of IFS omit behavior. Omits starting with a / are now expected to be an absolute path containing the entire path including the path specified in the sync attribute. Omits that do not start with a / are assumed to be a relative path, or file.

  • Resolved an issue where the accounting code on user profiles was not always replicated correctly for some accounting code values, such as those including a blank.

  • Updated RBTSYSLIB to version 2.07. This update added support for SBMJOB in multi-threaded jobs and resolved an issue where the RSFSRVTCP jobs contained MCH3402 errors.

  • Fixed an issue where SWAPTOPRD for one-to-many was receiving MCH3601.

  • Changed the order of clean up to prevent the swaps being left in an in between state if connection is lost.

  • Robot HA no longer allows defining / as an IFS sync attribute without any includes. The product now gives an HA10354 with reason code 16 to prevent accidentally attempting to synchronize the entire root of the IFS.

  • Resolved an issue where IFS objects failed to refresh when the from directory was different from the to directory.

  • Product can now be successfully updated even if QTEMP is not in the system or user library list. Previously, product updates could fail with RHA945 if QTEMP was not in the library list.

  • The CHKDIRRSF process now honors omits. Previously, the CHKDIRRSF process sometimes considered omitted objects in error if they did not match.

  • Improved handling of the to and from directory when setting up IFS sync attributes.

  • Robot HA no longer automatically changes the QRETSVRSEC value to 0 as part of either Robot GUIDE or RHACHGDDM. The product still automatically changes the value to 1 in instances where it is required.

  • Added support for passwords with special characters when using Robot GUIDE and RHACHGDDM for setting the ROBOTHA profile password. In instances where the password does not meet password rules, an HA90017 error message is given.

  • Resolved an issue where synchronizing user profiles with large numbers in UID or GID field resulted in CPD0085.

  • Improved the sync error report to use the system date of when the error was created, not the date the apply job was started.

  • Resolved an issue with some libraries having unexpected object inclusion if multiple synchronization attributes used *JRN and the same local journal.

  • Robot HA to no longer receives CPF9802 in instances when user-created journals do not give enough authority to the product.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause file RSPF002 to continue growing in size.

  • Improved handling of CPA5305 on target.

  • The server ID is no longer case sensitive when adding group synchronization attributes. The server ID is now always treated as though all letters are capitalized.

  • Improved performance of one-to-many role swaps.

  • Resolved an issue where prompting (f4) on omits would replace entries instead of adding entries if more than one page of omits existed when creating or changing an IFS sync attribute.

  • Resolved issue where an IFS sync attribute could fail with error CPD0078 on the target saying *NONE for OBJ is not valid.

  • Fixed an issue where audits could end with an MCH3601.

  • Resolved an issue where sync jobs could fail when there was more than 4000 QAUDJRN receivers.
