- Before installing Automate Desktop 26.1.1, confirm your version of Microsoft Windows is compatible with .NET Framework 4.8. See .NET Framework System Requirements for more information.
-
As of version 11.7.1, Automate is only available as a 64-bit installer. However, agents can still be installed on both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.
Enhancements
-
Added MS Graph as a protocol for Exchange actions with support for Email, Appointments, Contacts, and Tasks objects in Exchange Online.
IMPORTANT:Before switching Exchange actions to MS Graph, review each task. Automate does not convert AQS queries to KQL, so update Email and Contacts queries for KQL. With MS Graph, Move supports Email objects only, and Appointments and Tasks do not support Query-type filters.
-
Updated the Automate Desktop Runtime prerequisite from .NET 8 to .NET 10, which Microsoft supports through November 2028.
Updated the Automate installer to install .NET 10 Desktop Runtime and ASP.NET Core Runtime 10.0.12 if they are not present.
IMPORTANT:Before installing Automate 26.1.1, confirm your version of Microsoft Windows is compatible with .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET 10.0. Deploy Agent does not install .NET prerequisites. On remote Agent servers, install .NET Desktop Runtime and ASP.NET Core Runtime 10.0.12 or higher first.

Agent for Linux
Version: 14.1.0
October 2026
New Features
-
Added Support for Storing Persistent Classification Metadata in a Local Database
Agent for Linux 14.1.0 supports storing persistent classification information in an Agent-managed local database. Administrators can select database mode (db) when preparing an installation package or configuring a native RPM deployment. The existing .cls storage mode remains available and is the default.
In database mode, the Agent stores classification records for files on supported local and mounted network file systems on the Linux endpoint. The Agent does not create or update .cls sidecar files. Database mode includes configurable database and backup locations, scheduled backups, automatic record maintenance, and commands to check database status and manage backups.
Selecting database mode does not import existing .cls records. For deployment instructions, see Persistent Classification Storage in the DG Agent for Linux User’s Guide v14.1.0 and Prepare Endpoint Configuration in the DG Agent for Linux Native RPM Guide on Fortra Support Portal.
-
Added IBM ClearCase MVFS Support
The Linux Agent now supports IBM ClearCase MultiVersion File System (MVFS).
-
The Agent recognizes files stored in MVFS and the active ClearCase view.
-
For content inspection, the Agent uses the exact file version selected by the application.
-
Files transferred from MVFS to local or NFS storage are scanned and evaluated againstconfigured data-protection rules.
-
Browser uploads, Save As operations, and Print to File operations are supported for MVFS files.
-
File movement within MVFS is not treated as outbound data movement. Therefore, MVFS egress scanning is not triggered.
-
Files copied from local or NFS storage into MVFS are treated as inbound operations.
-
Each outbound MVFS operation triggers a new scan, preventing the Agent from using classification information from a different file version.
-
When MVFS content leaves the protected boundary, the Agent applies the configured policy action, such as allow, block, prompt, or audit.
-

Agent for macOS
Version: 10.2.0
October, 2026
New Features
-
Starting with macOS 27, configure Accessibility permission through the declarative App Settings configuration. Apple has deprecated the Accessibility service in the legacy Privacy Preferences Policy Control (PPPC) payload.
For macOS 27 deployments, create a separate Blueprint for each application:
-
Use App Settings to grant Accessibility permission.
-
Use the legacy PPPC component only for additional permissions that are not available in App Settings, such as PostEvent, File Provider, and Removable Volumes access.
-
Do not configure Accessibility in the PPPC component.
This release provides Blueprint configuration guidance for the following applications:
-
DgSessionSvc.app - Accessibility and PostEvent access
-
RME - Accessibility, PostEvent, File Provider, and Removable Volumes access
Apply these Blueprints only to supported macOS 27 devices. For earlier macOS versions, continue to use PPPC-based MDM profiles.
For instructions on creating and configuring the Blueprints, refer to the Digital Guardian Agent for macOS User Guide > Chapter: Configuring ADE and RME Accessibility Permissions Using Jamf Blueprints.
-
-
Starting with Agent version 10.2.0, the Agent reports the status of Application Data Exchange (ADE) and the Web Inspection Proxy (WIP) subcomponents to DGMC: ADE, Web Inspection Proxy, WIP - Explicit Proxy, and WIP - Transparent Proxy.
Administrators can view the status of each subcomponent under System > Mac Workstation Default by selecting the Agent hostname. Depending on the subcomponent, the reported status can be Active, Inactive, Failure Reported, or Warning Reported.
Administrators can also create custom reports to identify Agents with WIP or ADE subcomponents that are inactive or have reported a warning or failure.
For more information, refer to the Digital Guardian Agent for macOS User Guide > Chapter: WIP and ADE Subcomponent Status
NOTE: DGMC version 10.0 or later is required to view subcomponent status.
-
The DG Agent now generates Buffer Classification Details for ADE Cut and ADE Paste events. When users perform a Cut or Paste operation, the Agent inspects the clipboard buffer and uses the content inspection results to support control rules for these events.
For events containing classified information, the Local Forensic Report now includes a Buffer Details row, allowing users to analyze clipboard buffer information. Users can view this information in both DGMC and ARC and use it with the Sample Match feature.
-
Starting with version 10.2.0, the Digital Guardian Agent for macOS improves the handling of AES-256 password-protected prompts during file operations when RME is enabled. When handleShortEPSDeadlines is enabled, prompts remain visible beyond the Apple Endpoint Security (EPS) timeout and until the configured prompt timeout is reached, giving users sufficient time to enter and confirm their password.
The Agent caches the password until the user ejects the USB drive or restarts the computer. For configuration details, refer to Prompt Handling with Short EPS Deadlines in the Digital Guardian Agent for macOS User Guide v10.2.0.
-
Agent for macOS now supports User Classification with Microsoft Information Protection (MIP). The Agent can recognize MIP labels applied to files and use the label information when evaluating Digital Guardian policies and rules. This integration enables organizations to apply controls to MIP-labeled content and helps maintain existing data classification and protection requirements as users work with labeled files on macOS.
-
Improved captive portal connectivity on macOS by temporarily bypassing TLS inspection when ARC is unavailable. TLS inspection resumes automatically after internet connectivity is established, reducing the need for airline-specific domain flag exclusions.
Fixes
-
Resolved an issue where users could not sign in to airline onboard captive portal Wi-Fi on macOS. This occurred because TLS interception was interrupted when the ARC server was unreachable, preventing the captive portal login page from loading. The agent now temporarily bypasses TLS inspection, allowing the captive portal authentication page to load successfully. Normal TLS inspection resumes automatically after an internet connection is established, eliminating the need for airline-specific domain flag exclusions.
-
Resolved an issue that could cause Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN IPsec connections to fail or experience delays when NetOps was enabled. The fix improves VPN traffic handling while maintaining normal NetOps filtering behavior.

Changing "Work with Remote Locations" (WRKRMTLOC) to only allow *ENCRYPT Data Encoding for *I5 Remote Locations.
-
Removing the ability to send plain-text commands to the Network Receive Monitor.
-
Considerations
-
If Enterprise Console is in use, we strongly recommend enabling encrypted communications for IBM i devices in Device Manager.
