May 2013

  • Fixed issue with SignHere not reopening onto a secondary monitor when it was maximized and closed on the secondary monitor.
  • Fixed issue with Sig Location XML File browse button not working.
  • Changed it so the PDF Resolution setting will take affect without having to close the application. Now just the image has to be reopened.
  • Fixed issue with Notes text data not showing up on the printed page.
  • Fixed issue with printing large documents and the PC running out of memory. We not print each page individually instead of printing the entire document at once. This will now load only one page into memory at a time for printing.
  • Added parameter to the CloseDocument function to bypass the Save Changes prompt when being called from exit programs.
  • Added code to allow the user to use the Tab and Shift + Tab keys to navigate through the login credentials on the Spool Files tab, WebDocs iSeries tab and WebDocs Windows tab.

  • Added the ability to predefine check-box locations in the Add/Edit Signature Location.

August 2012

Version 1.4.0
  • Fixed issue with PDF files that contain Comment annotations. They now get removed since the controls we use do not support them.
  • Made the document right-click menu doesn't show unless the user right-clicks in the document bounds.
  • Changed the WebDocs iSeries login and logout to a background process. This way the user can still use the interface while login/logout is being performed.
  • Changed the WebDocs Windows login and logout to a background process. This way the user can still use the interface while login/logout is being performed.
  • Changed the iSeries login and logout to a background process. This way the user can still use the interface while login/logout is being performed.
  • Changed the spool file list retrieval to a background process. This way the user can still use the interface while login/logout is being performed.
  • Added a Default Destination to the email settings to hold a default email address. This value can only be blank when using the Outlook Email Send Method. If MAPI is selected and the Default Destination field is blank, we will make the TO address of the email nobody@nobody.com.
  • Added a Default Recipient Type to the email settings. This option will place the Default Destination value into either the TO,CC or BCC field of the newly created email.
  • Added _SignatureCapturedFlag boolean variable. This will allow code in the exit program to make sure a signature was captured before doing any other exit program code.
  • Added check of the BeforePrint exit program return code so if it is false we will not print the document.
  • Added check of the BeforeSaveFile exit program return code so if it is false will not save the document.
  • Added check of the AfterPrint exit program return code so if it is false we will bail out of the print function.
  • Added check of the AfterSaveFile exit program return code so if it is false will bail out of the save function.
  • Added ExitPointReturnsAValue variable that gets set in the SignHere Exit Program. This flag tells SignHere if they are using an older version of the exit program that was not setting the BeforePrint, BeforeSave, AfterPrint and AfterSave function return value as True or False. If this flag is not set by the SignHere Exit Program in the New function then SignHere will not evaluate the return value of the function calls.
  • Updated exit program functions to return True by default. This way existing users exit programs won't fail if they are not setting the return value.
  • Changed the default signature size from 200 width x 70 height to 600 width x 210 height. This will make a signature that doesn't have a saved size and location larger so it is easier to see.
  • Added "Auto apply signature to all pages" option when saving a signature location. If enabled and a signature is captured on a multi-page document, we will no longer ask the user if they want to apply the signature to all the pages. We will just do it silently. If not enabled and it is a multi-page document we will ask the user.
  • Added "Signature Location XML File" setting to store the shared signature locations.
  • Added multiple signature locations functionality. Now multiple signature locations can be registered for a document.
  • Changed the Add Note text annotation to not go into edit mode unless it is double clicked on.
  • Changed the Add Note text annotation to highlight the entire text contents when double clicked on.
  • Changed the Add Note text annotation to be selectable anywhere within the annotation. Now transparent areas will also select the annotation.
  • Fixed issue with font sizes being different depending on the resolution of the image.
  • Fixed issue with Text Annotations font size shrinking when changing pages or saving the document. We now write the font size into a field of the annotation so we know what to set the font size to when opening. Documents that already have these annotations created from before V1.4.0 will be set to a default font size of 12 until the font size is changed. Then we will keep track of the font size.
  • Added Enable Signature Location Editor setting. This will display an Add/Update button on the Document tab in the Manage Signature Locations group. Clicking this button will show all defined signature locations and allow the user to modify the File Name Pattern, Add, Delete or change the Properties of all the signature locations defined and then save that information in the "Signature Location XML File" setting defined in the SignHere Options.
  • Removed the "Do you want to apply the signature to all pages of the document?" prompt on multi-page documents. If the "Auto Apply Signature To All Pages" option in the signature location Properties is enabled we will apply that signature to all pages, otherwise we will only apply the signature to the page being displayed.
  • Added Collate Multi-page Documents When Printing setting. This was added to solve an issue with Windows 7 64-bit not collating even if it was enabled in the printer settings.

May 2012

NOTE:

Use of this functionality will require the installation of the RJS Signature Capture VeriFone.

January 2012

Version 1.3.1
  • Change the way files are opened so only one page is opened into memory at a time. This will reduce the amount of memory being used.
  • Changed the SaveFile function to allow only certain pages to be saved. This allows exit programs to save certain pages of the document. This does not affect the File/Save buttons. Those will still save the entire document as is.
  • Added the ability to pass a text file to the Topaz SigGem 5.7 Color device and display the text file as data on the device. The text file has to be the same name as the image file being signed and in the same directory. If there are page breaks in the text file, then there will be multiple screens on the Topaz device with a Next and Previous buttons so the user can navigate through them. On the last data screen the Next button will then display the signature line for the user to sign.
  • Made the SignHere application a single instance application. Now if the SignHere application is already opened and a user opens another document by double clicking on it then it will not start another instance, it will use the currently opened one. If they have a document already opened, then that document will be closed before the new document is opened.
  • Fixed issue with the restoring of the application window size when opening a document if the application is already opened but minimized. If the window was full size but minimized, when we reactivated the window by opening another document, the window was not full size.
  • Made change so only PDF pages that have annotations burned in are rastorized. All other pages will remain text searchable if they were when the PDF was opened.
  • Added /saveclosemin command line switch when being passed a file to open:
  • /saveclosemin - This will save the file into the default save location (defined in settings) using the current file name and then the application will minimize. If the default save location is not defined then it will save and overwrite the file currently opened.
  • This switch can be used together with the /signnow switch or separately. They are not case sensitive.
NOTE:

In order for windows to pass the parameters you need to specify the path to the SignHere.exe.

Example:

"c:\program files\RJS Software\SignHere\SignHere.exe" c:\test.pdf /signnow /saveclosemin

This will open the file test.pdf and then click the Capture Signature button. When the OK button on the signature capture screen is pressed it will save the file and minimize the application.

Example:

"c:\program files\RJS Software\SignHere\SignHere.exe" c:\test.pdf /saveclosemin

This will open the file test.pdf and then let the user do what ever they want until the user clicks the Capture Signature button and the OK button on the signature capture screen. Then it will save the file and minimize the application.
