New Features

  • Added a new End User License Agreement that must be accepted before installing or upgrading.

Fixes

  • CVE-2026-93924 is a Remote Command Execution Vulnerability within Halcyon IBM i whereby commands can be sent plain-text to the Halcyon Receive Monitor and executed by the Action Monitors.

    This release reduces the attack surface, until a full solution using TLS communications can be provided, by:

    • Changing existing *I5 Remote Locations to use *ENCRYPT Data Encoding on upgrade.

    • Changing "Work with Remote Locations" (WRKRMTLOC) to only allow *ENCRYPT Data Encoding for *I5 Remote Locations.

    • Removing the ability to send plain-text commands to the Network Receive Monitor.

Considerations

  • If Enterprise Console is in use, we strongly recommend enabling encrypted communications for IBM i devices in Device Manager.

  • Once your network is configured, we strongly recommend setting System Default HAL/NETAUTOCFG to *NO on all Halcyon Environments. This will help prevent attacks from unknown sources.
