Creating an Intranet Site

You create Intranet Sites to define the internal web sites of your company in a policy route.

Intranet Site format

Intranet Sites can be identified by an IP address or URL and may contain the * and ? wildcards.

For example:

ftp://ftp.compaq.com

ftp://ftp.hp.com

*.clearswift.com

http://*.windowsupdate.microsoft.com

To create an Intranet Site:

  2. To add sites to the Intranet Sites list:

    • Move the mouse pointer over the Sites area, and click New. The Add Site dialog appears.
    • In the Site Address field, enter the URL or IP address of the site. You can use Closedwildcard characters in the URL or IP address.
    • Wildcard characters

Use * to represent 0 or more characters.

Use ? to represent a single character.

    • Click Add.
    • Repeat the process to add the sites you need.
  3. To edit or remove a site in the list, move the mouse pointer over the sites area and select the site to edit, then click Edit or Delete as required.
