Policy Routes

Policy routes define which parts of your content security policy are applied by the Gateway. You can configure a policy route to apply to certain users and addresses, and control the flow of information between 'endpoints' on the route.

Policy routes are processed in the order they appear on the Manage Policy Routes page. However, if ICAP previewing is enabled, it is possible that certain rules will take priority over others regardless of the order. See More about the order of content rules for further information.

• Web Policy Routes

  Each Web Policy Route includes:

  • A route between two endpoints, for example, a machine list or user name list and an Internet zone.
  • A default action for traffic which matches the policy route
  • Content rules to apply to traffic which matches the policy route
