Diagnostic tools enable you to test the connection between Secure Web Gateway and network components. This can be useful when isolating and resolving system problems. The
- Ping a host generates a ping command to test connectivity to a network component or an IP address.
- Traceroute to a host enables you to trace the route that traffic takes from the
- Query DNS records allows you to enter domain details and test whether the configured DNS servers can find it.
- Test Mail Connection enables you to verify a connection to a host.
- Connectivity Test tests the connections to system components.

How to access the diagnostic tools
Diagnostic tools are displayed in the task panel when you select a certain submenu under the System menu. For example:
- If you select System > Configuration > Apply Configuration, the diagnostic tools; Ping a host and Traceroute to a host are displayed in the task panel.
- If you select System > System Settings > Ethernet Settings, the diagnostic tools; Ping a host, Traceroute to a host, Query DNS records and Connectivity Test are displayed in the task panel.
