Add a picture to the background of a cell
In the map, click the page with the table where you want the image.
Right-click the table cell where you want to the image as a background and choose Properties > Table.
Click the Background tab.
Select the Image check box and then click Browse.
Select a picture. A preview of the image appears in the lower-left corner. The Show Details box in the lower-right corner displays the height, width, color depth, and image type of the image.
(Optional) If you want to reduce the size of the image, click the Limit image size (in pixels) box and enter the width and height you want the image to be. The image will be resized proportionally.
The settings you specify are saved and will appear the next time you insert a picture. So be sure to check the settings and adjust them, if necessary, whenever you insert a picture.
(Optional) If the image is a sequential .JPG (such as a picture taken with a digital camera), you can rotate the image before adding it. Click a rotation option.
Click Open.
Select an Alignment for the image.
(Optional) If you want the image to tile, select the Tile Vertically or Tile Horizontally option. Select both Tile Vertically and Tile Horizontally if you want the image to tile the entire area.
(Optional) By default, CuteSITE Builder makes the image non-scrolling, which means it remains fixed in place when you scroll through the page area. If you want the image to also scroll when you scroll the area, select the Scroll image with text option.
(Optional) To crop or resize the image, click Properties. You can also view information about the image and set a Transparent color in the Image Properties dialog box.
Notes
CuteSITE Builder supports the following image types: .BMP, .DIB, .GIF, .JPG, .PCD, .PCX, .PIC, .PNG, .TGA, .TIF, and .TIFF. (For .PCD images, see Adjust CuteSITE Builder options for KODAK Photo CD images.)
With the exception of .JPG and .PIC format images, CuteSITE Builder stores and displays images using the CuteSITE Builder color palette. The CuteSITE Builder color palette is slightly modifed from palettes used by common Web browsers, and has a maximum density of 256 colors. If your display supports more colors, you will be able to see the additional colors only in .JPG and .PIC format images.
You can crop, resize, set a transparent color for, or view information about a background image after you have added it. Right click in the cell, click Properties > Table > Background, and then click the image Properties button.
CuteSITE Builder stores each image only once per file, even if you insert the image in multiple places. This means that reusing a picture doesn't significantly affect the size of a CuteSITE Builder file. It also means that once you have added a picture to a file, it can be quicker to copy and paste the image to other locations rather than inserting the image again.
HTML supports only top-left aligned background images. If you intend to publish to the Web, you should include only this type of background image in the table cells.
