Add images to a page body or border
You can add a picture in a page area either in text or in the background. In text, the image may move as you add other text and images. If you add the image in the background, any other text and images appear on top of the image. You can either fix the background image in one place or set it to scroll as you scroll through text.
Add a picture in text
In the map, click the page to which you want to add the image.
In the page area click where you want to place the image.
Click the
icon.
Select a picture. A preview of the image appears in the lower-left corner. The Show Details box in the lower-right corner displays the height, width, color depth, and image type of the image.
(Optional) If you want to reduce the size of the image, click the Limit image size (in pixels) box and enter the width and height you want the image to be.
The image will be resized proportionally. The settings you specify are saved and will appear the next time you insert a picture. So be sure to check the settings and adjust them, if necessary, whenever you insert a picture.
(Optional) If the image is a sequential .JPG (such as a picture taken with a digital camera), you can rotate the image before adding it. Click a rotation option.
Click Open.

In the map, click the page to which you want to add the image.
Right-click the section of the page area where you want to add the image and choose Properties > Page Area.

(Optional) If the image is a sequential .JPG (such as a picture taken with a digital camera), you can rotate the image before adding it. Click a rotation option.
Click Open.
Select an Alignment for the image.
(Optional) If you want the image to tile, select the Tile Vertically or Tile Horizontally option. Select both Tile Vertically and Tile Horizontally if you want the image to tile the entire area.
(Optional) By default, CuteSITE Builder makes the image non-scrolling, which means it remains fixed in place when you scroll through the page area. If you want the image to also scroll when you scroll the area, select the Scroll image with text option.
(Optional) To crop or resize the image, click Properties. You can also view information about the image and set a Transparent color in the Image Properties dialog box.
Notes
You can also:
Right-click where you want to place a picture in the page area and choose Insert > Image/Clipart > Single Image.
Choose Insert > Image/Clipart > Single Image to add a picture. Within running text, CuteSITE Builder inserts the image at the cursor location.
CuteSITE Builder supports the following image types: .BMP, .DIB, .GIF, .JPG, .PCD, .PCX, .PIC, .PNG, .TGA, .TIF, and .TIFF. (For .PCD images, see Adjust CuteSITE Builder options for KODAK Photo CD images.)
You can also add animated PNG images to your Web site file. The animation is activated when you preview or publish the site.
If you want a series of images on a sequence, choose Insert > Image/Clipart > Photo Sequence Wizard and follow the instructions in the wizard.
With the exception of .JPG and .PIC format images, CuteSITE Builder stores and displays images using the CuteSITE Builder color palette. The CuteSITE Builder color palette is slightly modifed from palettes used by common Web browsers, and has a maximum density of 256 colors. If your display supports more colors, you will be able to see the additional colors only in .JPG and .PIC format images.
To resize a picture in text, click to select it and then drag a selection handle. To crop a picture in text, click to select it, press and hold the Shift key, and then drag a selection handle. You can also use the Image Properties dialog box to resize, crop, set a transparent color for, or view information about a picture in text.
You can crop, resize, set a transparent color for, or view information about a background image after you have added it by redisplaying the Properties dialog box, clicking the Background tab, and clicking Properties.
If you crop an animated image, it will no longer be animated.
You can move a picture by selecting it and then dragging it to its new location, just as you would drag text within a page area or from one page area to another. To copy the image instead, press and hold the Ctrl key as you drag the image.
It is not possible to copy or move images between the map and pages using the Windows clipboard. If you want the same image in both places, you must insert it twice.
CuteSITE Builder stores each image only once per file, even if you insert the image in multiple places. This means that reusing a picture doesn't significantly affect the size of a CuteSITE Builder file. It also means that once you have added a picture to a file, it can be quicker to copy and paste the image to other locations rather than inserting the image again.
You can insert up to 255 images in each section of the page area.
HTML supports only top-left aligned background images. If you intend to publish to the Web, you should include only this type of background image in the page body or borders.
In the background of the map, you can insert and tile images that show the map's underlying grid.
