Notes

n   The fields in a pages Page Properties dialog box are updated when you change the information in the properties box, change the information in a link, or change the title in the page area. CuteSITE Builder then automatically updates all links that use this information. For examples of what inserted fields and field links can look like while being edited or formatted, see the Fields Overview.

n   If you need to make sure that an edited link is still a link, move the mouse pointer over the link. The mouse pointer changes to the shape whenever its over a link.

n   You can also change a field link to an inserted field.

n   If you delete all the text in a field link, CuteSITE Builder inserts placeholder text; for example, Type Title Here . If you edit this placeholder text, the changes you make will also appear in the pages Properties dialog box, as well as in any other field links or inserted fields on other pages that use the field information.

n   Most CuteSITE Builder page layouts include navigation links and a title field link by default. Navigation links and title fields are considered static text in CuteSITE Builder page layouts, which means you must follow a special step before you edit or delete them: right-click on the text and choose Unlock Static Text. A lock cursor indicates the presence of static text.

n   To view or adjust the properties of any existing link, right-click on the link and choose Properties > Link .

n   To change the keystrokes you use to edit or follow links, choose Tools > Options and select a setting under Editing preferences. You can follow links by clicking the link (the default setting) or by pressing and holding Ctrl and clicking the link.

If you choose to follow links by clicking the link, you need to press and hold Ctrl to edit the link text. If you choose to follow links by pressing and holding Ctrl and clicking the link, you can edit the link by simply clicking anywhere in the text of the link.
