Specifying a user's home folder

You can determine the user's login folder at the user and User Setting Level. Generally, you will want to set this at the user level.

To set a user's home folder

  1. Start the Administrator Interface and connect to the server.

  2. Click the Server tab on the bottom left side of the Administrator Interface.

  3. In the left window, click a user.

  4. Click the Main tab.

  5. Select the Home Dir check box.

  6. Click the browse button next to the Home Dir box.

  7. Select the folder you want the user to be placed in when they log on.

  8. Click Apply.

Note

Selecting the Treat home folder as default root folder check box makes the home folder the users root folder.

To verify that the User Setting Level is not controlling the user's home folder

  1. Start the Administrator Interface and connect to the server.

  2. Click the Server tab on the bottom left side of the Administrator Interface.

  3. In the left window, choose the user and click their User Setting Level.

  4. Click the Main tab.
