You can make display changes to a number of items in CuteHTML Pro.
Most of the tools can be displayed from the View menu.
Click on the View menu to see the list.
The list contains the items that can be displayed or hidden. A check next to an item indicates that it is displayed.
Display Code Explorer |
Code Explorer is displayed as a tree, with nodes, links, sources (images or other), Applet Java codes (.class), and the HTML document's JavaScript and VBScript functions. Code Explorer is displayed in the Resources window. This option is activated by default. |
Display Visual Explorer |
Visual Explorer lets you view all of a document's hyperlinks. Visual Explorer is displayed in the Resources window. This option is activated by default. |
Display Code Inspector |
Code Inspector displays all of the properties and attributes that can be used for a given code (tag, rule, etc.). It also lets you modify these. Code Inspector is displayed in the Resources window. This option is activated by default. |
File Explorer |
The File Explorer lets you identify the link to FTP sites that will help you create Web pages. File Manager is displayed in the Resources window. |
Code Snippets Library |
The Code Snippets Library lets you create a personalized code list that you can insert in your document. Personal codes can be classified by category, programming language, etc. The Code Snippets Library is displayed in the Resources window. This option is activated by default. |
Display Vertical toolbar |
The vertical toolbar offers functionalities that can help you with editing tasks: display or hide line numbers or bookmarks in the margins, code highlighting tool, code completion tool. |
Display Special |
The Special Characters toolbar lets you quickly access special characters you may want to insert in the document you are editing (accented characters, symbols, etc.). When activated, it is displayed above the Editor window. This option is activated by default. |
Display Internal Browser |
The Internal Browser is integrated to CuteHTML Pro. It lets you view the progress made as you edit your Web pages. When this option is activated, a distinct window opens every time the application is run. This option is activated by default. |
Auto refresh viewer |
When activated, this option automatically refreshes the Web page you are editing so that you can see your progress as you work. |
Other display options are available in General Preferences, in the Tools menu.
Show status bar |
The status bar is displayed below the Editor window. It provides information on the status of the document: position in the Editor window, modifications done, etc. This option is activated by default. |
Show margin toolbar |
The margin toolbar lets you display line numbers, along with stars indicating where lines have been clipped. It is displayed to the left of the Editor window (gray zone). |
Display vertical toolbar |
The vertical toolbar offers functionalities that can help you with editing tasks: display or hide line numbers or bookmarks in the margins, code highlighting tool, code completion tool. |

Display Word Wrap |
If this option is enabled, a vertical line is displayed which allows you to visualize where the lines in the HTML document you are editing are wrapped. It works together with the Display Word Wrap option in CuteHTML Pro's General Preferences. |
Characters Bar |
The special characters bar gives you quick access to many special characters (accented characters, symbols, etc.) you can insert in the document being edited. When displayed, it appears above the edit window. By default this option is enabled. |
