Editing and modifying embedded tables can prove to be a bit difficult. The Edit Embedded Tables command makes this task easier.
You can also modify a table directly on the edit window. You must pay special attention to where you position the cursor to edit the contents of a cell or a row of cells. If done incorrectly, the TABLE tags could cause problems that would display the page incorrectly.
To verify the tags’ integrity, you can verify your document before you place it online in your site.
Select the TABLE opening and closing tags of the main table
Click on Insert table. The Table window is displayed.
Inside the cell where the embedded table is found, you will see the TABLE tag. Place the cursor inside this cell.
From the Table menu, select
Edit table in cell or select the
command from the context menu. A second table window is opened over the
first one.
The Edit table in cell command is not available if no embedded table
is found on the selected cell. You can edit the different levels of the
embedded table.
Make the desired changes and click on OK to go back to the first window.
