Although Site-to-Site transfers are great for the user, expediting what otherwise could be a slow transfer, many administrators consider Site-to-Site transfers a security risk, exposing servers to "port theft" or "FTP by proxy" attacks. Depending on how your servers are configured, you may want to block these types of transfers.
To allow or not allow Site-to-Site transfers
In EFT Administrator, connect to EFT Server and click the Server tab.
In the left pane, click the Site you want to configure.
In the right pane, click the Site Options tab.
Do one of the following:
To block transfers, select the Block site-to-site transfers (FXP) check box.
To allow transfers, clear the Block site-to-site transfers (FXP) check box.
Click Apply to save the changes on EFT Server.
