CuteFTP Mac's interface is used to configure connections and transfer files to and from remote servers via those connections.
Main menu: The main menu provides links to all of the CuteFTP features.
Tool bar: The tool bar provides quick access to the most commonly used CuteFTP features.
Quick Connect bar: The Quick Connect bar allows you to connect to an FTP site "on the fly" and then save it in the site manager.
Log pane: The Log pane displays the commands CuteFTP sends and the server's responses. CuteFTP logs this information to inform you of completed transactions or to assist in troubleshooting.
Local and remote file lists: The two lower panes represent files available on local and remote drives. When you start CuteFTP, both left and right middle panes will display your local drive contents. When you connect to an FTP server, its drive contents are displayed in the pane that has the focus (is selected). In fact, you can connect to one server in one pane, change focus to the other pane, connect to another server and then transfer files between remote servers by dragging the selected files between both panes.
To change the size of the panes
Place your cursor over any border between two panes until the cursor becomes a double-headed arrow.
Click and drag the border until the panes are the size you want. Next time you launch CuteFTP, the panes will be the same size as when you closed CuteFTP.
